Woodland Inspired Retreat
Our number one mission with this room was to design a showering space where one didn’t exist beforehand. With limited head height, we carefully considered the design to maximise the available space.
We gave the bathroom product selection for this project a lot of thought to maximise space available, such as the Lefka bath by Ashton and Bentley and the You range of bathroom furniture by Dansani, with bespoke Corian top and marble washbasin. This property is Grade II listed, so we had to work with the fabric of the building, including existing window positions. With only one option for the showering location, we were also given the same for the basin, as it was only the other place in the bathroom with room to stand up fully! We chose the BetteFloor in Edelweiss to maximise the standing room and provide a seamless entry into the shower without the customer needing a tiled wetroom floor.
Due to Merlyn’s expert templating and installation service, the Merlyn Arysto bespoke showering enclosure fitted like a glove. We closely match the enclosure’s wall fixings and handle to Coalbrook’s Domo brushed brassware collection. Muted tones from the flooring, sanitary ware and vanity unit are brought to life by Ca’ Pietra’s infamous collaboration with the National Trust: the Woodland Glade tile range. The nature-inspired theme is harnessed throughout the bathroom with these gorgeous feature tiles, wood-effect porcelain floor and oak veneer bathroom furniture. From the design details of the brushed brass tile trim, ambient feature lighting, colour-coordinated towel radiator and shower tray through to the added design elements you can’t see, such as underfloor heating, this room ticks all the boxes for a luxurious escape.
